Daniel B. Honigman's site: Chicago wins U.S. Olympic bid for 2016, but at what cost?

Obviously the Olympics won't make Chicago a 'better' city. Anyone who has any common sense in Chicago really isn't rooting for placement of the Olympics here.
But really, I can't blame the Mayor or the people who are rooting for it; any mayor in The United States sees the Olympics as an opportunity and the people on the South Side (where the stadium would be built) see it as job openings, but aren't realizing the detrimental effects it will have.
I just REALLY hope the Olympics don't come here in 2016 or I might be having to move to what I see as the 2nd city as a Chicagoan - NYC. ;)

Hardy-har-har. It seems I have a penchant for Olympic bid cities...
